General terms of sales
1 – GENERALITIES
Good Guide In Rio is a receptive tourism agency whose goal is to provide a set of services in the field of tourism and upscale leisure of Rio de Janeiro and its surroundings with guides subscribing to our quality charter, speaking perfectly the language of the Customer and certified by the Brazilian Ministry of tourism.
Our tourist offers are described in detail on our website www.goodguideinrio.com and rise to the number of 44 offers.
IGood Guide In Rio also offers customized tourist offers and events organization for private travelers, business and congress under request.
All offers are subject to a quote and Good Guide In Rio is committed to keeping its prices for 10 calendar days of the mailing date of the quotation.
2 – PAYMENT TERMS
Confirmation of a booking, payment of the balance and invoice :
The booking of one or more visits is validated upon receipt through the PayPal system of the deposit following the sending of the invoice. This deposit is at least 20%, the deposit may vary by installments required for reservations (shows, on-site activities such as para gliding, helicopter ..) and tickets (Christ, Sugar Loaf …).
The balance must be paid no later than 10 calendar days through the PayPal system prior to delivery or cash at the beginning of the service. In case of non payment, the visit will be canceled and the deposit will not be refunded.
Upon receipt by Good Guide In Rio of the down payment, an e-mail is sent to the Customer confirming the reservation.
3 – CANCELLATION POLICY
3.1 – Non payment of the balance
In case of non-payment, the service will be canceled and the deposit will not be refunded.
3.2 – Cancellation by the Customer
If the service is canceled at the request of the Customer, the initial deposit will not be refunded. In the event that the payment of the balance was paid before the start of the service, it will be refunded totally by bank transfer or PayPal minus 5% representing the financial fees.
If the service is canceled by the client during his stay for any reason whatsoever, no refund will be made on or not made visits.
3.3 – Case of activities booked locally in behalf of the Customer: tickets, sport, nautical or aerial activities, events
The reimbursement of the activity or activities will be carried out according to the supplier’s cancellation policy for this activity. If the cancellation is the result of adverse weather conditions on the performance of the service, Good Guide In Rio propose, to the extent possible, a new date and time for the realization of that service.
3.4 – Case of force majeure
Good Guide In Rio may change or cancel one or more services due to force majeure as war, terrorist attack, natural disaster, social movements. New dates, to the extent possible, may be proposed but the deposit will be retained. Reimbursement activities reserved on site will be done according to the supplier’s cancellation policy. The Customer will not be entitled to any compensation.
3.5 – Other cases
Good Guide In Rio can not be held responsible if:
-The Customer’s dates are changed due to disruption of the airlines during the stay. In this case, new dates, insofar as possible, may be proposed but the deposit will be retained. Reimbursement activities reserved on site will be done according to the supplier’s cancellation policy.
-A stay is interrupted by the Customer. In this case, the deposit will be retained and reimbursement for activities reserved on site will be done according to the supplier’s cancellation policy.
4 – HEALTH
Some of our services (type aerial activities, cycling, hiking …) require a good physical condition. For these services, the Customer declares that he is not suffering physical disability, heart problems or other health problems that could create, in the delivery, complications for him or for the group. If this is the case, it must inform in advance Good Guide In Rio when requesting information needed to establish the quotation.
Good Guide In Rio reserves the right to refuse, for his safety, a Customer at the start of a service or at any time if we believe that the person is mentally or physically incapable of continuing or if this person prevents the fulfillment of the service.
5 – TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is essential. The Customer is solely responsible for the subscription of this insurance. It must include the essential safeguards such as repatriation, medical expenses, trip interruption, theft of luggage, civil liability ..
We remind that travelers paying their airline tickets with a credit card type Premier, Gold Mastercard, infinit Premium, Amex Gold … benefits during their trip of a guarantee assistance and cancellation.
By subscribing to one or more of our services, the Customer declares to be aware of the risks inherent in Brazil (see Article 7 Liability) and Good Guide In Rio, without limitation, can not be held responsible for any injury, death, psychological shock. … the Customer may not claim any compensation from Good Guide in Rio.
If the Customer wishes that Good Guide In Rio subscribes a travel insurance on behalf, he must make an express request during the quote preparation. Good Guide In Rio then will offer him a travel insurance “Touristcard” whose price and guarantees will be passed in the estimate. If accepted, Good Guide In Rio will subscribe to the travel insurance on behalf of the Customer.
6 – PROVIDERS
Good Guide In Rio uses selected providers on the basis of quality criterias.
Good Guide In Rio normally manages the link between its contractors and the Customer but reserves the right to put the Customer in direct contact with the provider if it considers this necessary for the fulfillment of the service. In this case, the prior approval of the Customer will be required. The Customer can not cancel a service directly with a provider if the relationship is directly managed by Good Guide In Rio. In case of unavailability of a provider managed directly by Good Guide In Rio, Good Guide in Rio is committed to provide the service at the best conditions.
The providers generally have their own regulations and terms of sale and conditions which will be sent to the Customer on request.
If the Customer directly manages the relationship with the provider, Good Guide In Rio can not be held responsible for problems that occur in the relationship (the service is not provided, dissatisfaction …). However, Good Guide In Rio will assist the Client in the resolution of the problem with the provider.
7 – RESPONSABILITIES
Good Guide In Rio alerts the Customer on the fact that a stay in Brazil involves taking some risks associated with infrastructure (roads, buildings ..), insecurity, remoteness and the quality of medical centers or participation in sport activities (such para-gliding, helicopter, hiking …). Thus, insofar as the Brazilians laws are respected, the responsibility of Good Guide In Rio can not be committed.
Customer’s personal property is under his responsibility. It should not be entrusted to unknown person or tour guide if this last does not have the ability to retain them.
Good Guide In Rio reserves the right to change the dates of services if it considers that the Customer safety is not assured due to social, climatic, and other risks of attacks. In this case, Good Guide In Rio inform the Customer and the Customer will not be entitled to any compensation.
Good In Rio Guide can not be held responsible for any accident caused by the breach of the Customer. The latter is required to comply with safety rules and follow the instructions of Good Guide In Rio when performing the services.
8 – ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS OF SALE
Any quote acceptance involves consultation and acceptance of these terms and conditions of sale. These terms and conditions may be modified at any time without notice.
9 – PERSONAL INFORMATION
Good Guide In Rio keeps confidential personal information exchanged with the Customer. However the Customer, at the express request, has the right to delete their own data.
10 – COMPETENT COURT OF JURISDICTION
Good Guide In Rio is a Brazilian law company and the services being realized in the state of Rio de Janeiro, the competent court in case of dispute will be the Court of Justice of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
