Your visit of Flamengo, Gloria and Catete neighborhoods
Flamengo’s Park, commonly known as Aterro de Flamengo was reclaimed from the sea during the late nineteenth and the mid-twentieth century. It was conceived and landscaped by the wellknown Carlota de Macedo Soares and her close colleague, the botanist Roberto Burle Marx. This is an area where Cariocas enjoy sports and recreation, visit the bold Museum of Modern Art (MAM) that proudly stands in front of the Marina da Gloria and appreciate the ever beautifull view of the Sugar Loaf. To conclude, the palace of Catete with its beautiful gardens, former home of the presidents of the republic, will be visited.
