Your Santa Marta favela tour
Santa Marta, one of the first favelas of Rio, developed on a hill overlooking the district of Botafogo. Accompagnied by Good Guide in Rio and a Santa Marta local, we first climb the hill by funicular an then walk the winding alleys, climb the narrow stairs that intertwine to meet its inhabitants, its magnificent points of view and also Michael Jackson. Indeed his clip “They do not care about us” was shooted therein 1995. This community, by its construction, is the only one in Rio that we can only discover on foot, motorbikes and cars can not circulate it.
